THE WEEKLY KHAOS // AUGUST 29th
AUGUST 29TH, 2019
Summer's end is steadily approaching and you can feel it fighting to surrender to the cooler nights with its last push of outrageous heat. This time of year I love wearing white as it just feels bright, fresh and showcases these last days of having a fantastic tan! Play with with patterns and also do not be afraid of wearing a white that is not ideal for your skin type. For example, I love off-whites and ivory however my skin looks flat until I add bronzer, complimenting blush and a colorful lip. It's all about the lip. So go play!
I saw this in my feed and instantly thought of my dear friend and jewelry designer, Mara Carrizo Scalise. Her and I both have an infinite love of sequin outerwear and you would be surprised how casual you can make this type of look feel. Wear with army cargos, ripped boyfriend jeans or shorts as above. Layer with a low cut white tank, tee or your favorite band tee. Lastly, wear flip flops or sneakers. I would personally pair with my favorite slip on Vans.
I have always had a soulful relationship with stars and as you can see they are currently adorned on my nails on the right. Simplistic and randomly placed gold stars on a nude nail is just so subtle and pretty. I also love the navy blue, gold and star art that was created by nail artist @marienails. She made nail art look organic and just so cool. Give it a try and wait for the compliments to come in!
When it's this hot and you just want your hair off you. I advice to take advantage of this very chic and easy updo. Create this look easily by pulling your hair high up on your head and secure a high ponytail. Once you have your ponytail fastened with a tie, brush your tail, twist, wrap around the base and then secure with safety pins. Applying a pomade to keep baby hairs down off your face will keep this look sleek. Also, don't forget your KHAOS earrings for this look! A little pro tip of mine: Leave Olaplex or a leave-in-conditioner prior to styling for a long day treatment.
I am crazy about this look and it reminds me that liner on the waterline can work for day or night. The eye is caressed in a beautiful peachy brown and the waterline is lined for drama. Her face is lightly bronzed, highlighted and finished with a perfect nude gloss. For the lip, I highly recommend the FENTY lipgloss, I'm obsessed and so is every makeup artist I have ever worked with. Order it here.
