KHAOS STYLE INSPIRATION BY Kate Peris

Hello Lovelies!

How is everyone holding up?  I first want to send love to all of you during such crazy times.  May we all find our new norm with ease and grace. I'm trying to get there myself.

Well today, I am really excited to bring to you a daily style update that I am currently obsessed with!  My daily quarantine looks these past months have been "homeless chic" at it's best except for the days that I intentionally dress to take photos for the brand! ha However, with these warmer months, I am finally longing for some femininity and style while still "quarantine" comfortable.  Let me introduce you to what will soon become one of your favorite articles of clothing, the Slip Dress.

Lately I have suddenly been attracted to a European femininity and ease that comes with the slip dress trend. The appeal of a slip dress is that it compliments every single body type. It is a forgiving fit, meaning that it is not tight on the stomach or thigh region. Ultimate comfort while looking so soft and feminine. The slip dress is also a practical investment as it is a piece of clothing that can go from day to an night. However, todays' blog is all about wearing a slip dress for the day.

I love anything with versatility. This item is so great for it can be paired with your flip-flops, tennis shoes and Birkenstocks. This look is the quintessential "I just woke up like this" while looking so fashionable.

A few suggestions to elevate the style, feel free to add a summer hat, belt and casual jewelry.  One of my favorite looks is to pair with a casual knit cardigan for the cool of the evening. Whatever it is, make it you!

When it comes to hair, it is all about keeping it natural.  Embrace your natural hair texture. Wear it air dried, with a messy braid, top knot or ponytail. This will keep the overall look casual and quietly embraces that just-rolled-out-of-bed Parisian style.

For makeup, again embrace your natural beauty. Clean, translucent skin is important so be easy on the foundation. Light bronzing, light blush on the apples of the cheeks and a soft natural lip is all you need.  Fill your eyebrows naturally and add a CatEye with brown liner if you wish. The key is soft, beautiful and naturally imperfect.

*Pro Tip * A trick I use to feel more confident when wearing minimal makeup is self tanner. My absolute favorite is Lux Unfiltered No. 32. The easiest self tanner I have ever used!  Dries in minutes, incredibly moisturizing, does not smell and has such a natural color! Trust me...buy now!  Purchase here
